There are 4 files in this directory:

    readme     This file.

    clib.doc   Additions to the "E1430A Software Support Reference Manual" for
               the RADI-EPC7 in MS-Word format.

    clib.txt   Additions to the "E1430A Software Support Reference Manual" for
               the RADI-EPC7 in plain old ASCII text.

    e1430.exe  Self extracting archive which contains the following: 

               INCLUDE    This directory contains C include files.
               LIB        This directory contains the interface library.
               SRC        This directory contains source code for the library.
               EXAMPLE    This directory contains an example program to 
                          acquire data from the E1430 over the VXI bus. 

               TEST1430   This directory contains a diagnostic test program.

               WINDLL     This directory contains files providing access to 
                          E1430 Libraries from Microsoft Windows. See 
                          readme.txt file in this directory for more 
                          information.

     scpi.exe  Self extracting archive which contains the following files: 

                README      The file you are now reading.

                VXIDLD.CFG  A file which you may modify if the assumptions we 
                            made about how your system is configured, and how 
                            you would like it configured, are incorrect.  This 
                            file is used by all the downloader programs listed 
                            below.
          
                VXIDLD.EXE  The downloader program designed to be used by a 
                            DOS (DOS only)  computer.  It will use an RS-232 
                            connection to your VXI mainframe to download the 
                            drivers.  This utility has FLASH ROM downloading 
                            capability for the E1406 Command Module.

                E1430A.DU   Drivers in the format needed for downloading via 
                            HP-IB.

                E1430A.DC   Drivers in the format needed for downloading via 
                            RS-232.


         Performance test Software:

                These files provide SCPI (Standard Commands for Programmable  
                Instruments) for the E1430 when used with a Command module
                such as the E1406.  See the E1430A manuals for more information.

                These drivers contain code compatible with Revision A.06.01 
                (and later revisions) of HP's E1405/E1406 and E1300/E1301.




To extract the above files just copy the file e1430.exe and/or scpi.exe
to your PC's hard disk drive and execute the following examples:

  SCPI Drivers and Download Programs:

       MKDIR C:\E1430\SCPI
       CD C:\E1430\SCPI

       MKDIR C:\E1430\PTEST
       CD C:\E1430\PTEST
       PTEST.EXE -d
